Full-stack developer, Java / Angular / AWS

Spring Boot · Angular · AWS · PostgreSQL · Docker

Currently at Atos for the IT division of Enedis, France's electricity distribution operator, on business-critical web applications: Spring Boot REST APIs, Angular interfaces, AWS cloud deployments, and ownership of the front-end upgrade from Angular 16 to Angular 19, with the ability to deliver on the latest Angular versions as well (up to Angular 22).

Current role

Full-stack Java / Angular engineer

Atos · on assignment for the Enedis IT division

  • Design and implement secured Spring Boot REST APIs and dynamic Angular interfaces for business-critical applications across the Enedis information system, under Scaled Agile (SAFe).
  • Own tickets end to end - 50% backend, 50% frontend - delivering features autonomously, with functional testing and code-quality tracking in SonarQube.
  • Lead technical-debt reduction: planned and executed the front-end infrastructure upgrade from Angular 16 to Angular 19, while staying ready to deliver on the latest Angular versions (up to Angular 22).

Java R&D engineer

Oracle · DB Tools organisation

  • Built features for Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle's database development and administration suite - desktop app, browser, VS Code extension and command line - used by millions of developers and DBAs worldwide.
  • Contributed to SQLcl, the suite's command-line interface, working alongside the VS Code extension, SQL Live and desktop IDE teams.
  • Owned development of the project command, SQLcl's CI/CD and schema-versioning framework: putting Oracle database schemas under Git version control and automating deployments across environments.
  • Implemented the export sub-command and project configuration handling, generating every SQL script for a schema's objects from a live database in a single command.

Freelance & personal projects

  • Designed, architected and deployed a full-stack e-commerce platform on a decoupled architecture (Spring Boot / Angular).
  • Secured access with JWT tokens and fine-grained role management, and containerised the services and PostgreSQL database with Docker.
  • Built and published "Send To" on the Chrome Web Store, a productivity extension written in vanilla JavaScript.

MK e-commerce platform

A full storefront, from the PostgreSQL schema through to the Angular front end: catalogue, cart, orders, JWT authentication and a role-based admin panel. API documented with Swagger, containerised and deployed on my own VPS.

Searching selected text used to take four steps: copy, open a tab, paste, submit. This extension does it with one right-click, across 15+ platforms (Google Maps, YouTube, GitHub, Reddit…).

Chrif Miel - Next.js storefront

An online shop for a Moroccan honey producer. Static Next.js catalogue with orders placed straight through WhatsApp - no payment funnel for a small business to maintain.

About

A bit more about me

Hey 👋

I'm Hossain. A software engineering degree at ENSA, a MIAGE Master's at Polytech Lyon - and above all a lot of code shipped to real clients: first as a freelancer, then at Oracle and Novelis, and these days Spring Boot and Angular at Atos, on business-critical applications for the Enedis IT division.

What I genuinely enjoy building is clean back ends: an API whose contract reads for itself, tests that actually earn their keep, a deployment that stays up without anyone poking at it.

The rest of the time I self-host my own work - every site listed above runs in a container behind my own Traefik. The "Send To" Chrome extension came out of a very concrete frustration: being tired of bouncing between tabs just to look up three words.
